CFP: SCMS 2017 in Chicago

CFP: SCMS 2017 in Chicago

The SCMS (Society for Cinema and Media Studies) 2017 conference will be held in Chicago, March 22 – 26. The CFP is now posted (https://cmstudies.site-ym.com/?page=call_for_submissions – deadline August 31), and the conference panel/workshop forum is now active (https://cmstudies.site-ym.com/page/ConfBBoard – deadline for bulletin board submissions is July 15). If you are not currently an SCMS member, you can get temporary (free) membership in order to access/participate in the forum. You can post and/or respond to panel and/or workshop CFP’s there. As co-chair of the Cognitive/Analytic Scholarly Interest Group for SCMS, I highly encourage SCSMI members to submit to this conference via either panel, workshop, or open call. The link to a submission portal isn’t yet available, so I’ll post here again once it is. (I’m told that will be July 1.) While you’re on the SCMS website, I encourage you to join the Cognitive/Analytic SIG (Scholarly Interest Group). It’s free to do so. Hope to see some of you in Chicago! Feel free to also use the Cognitive/Analytic SIG’s Facebook page to discuss this at https://www.facebook.com/groups/scmscasig/

Cheers,

Mary
