Projections update

Many of you will know that the most recent issue of Projections (11, 2), which appeared in December of last year, was the last issue to be edited by Stephen Prince. Stephen’s six-year tenure as editor of Projections (beginning with issue 6,1) saw the journal stabilize, consolidate, and steadily increase its readership and standing. On behalf of the SCSMI community, I’d like to extend my thanks to Stephen for his stewardship of the journal during this crucial period in its history. Happily for SCSMI, Steve will very shortly assume the role of President, so we will continue to benefit from his experience and wisdom.

Let me also formally welcome Ted Nannicelli into the role of Projections editor. Ted was one of the associate editors of Projections for the past several years, and the transition from Stephen to Ted began in 2017, so many of you will have had dealings with Ted already in relation to the journal. I have every conference that Ted will continue Stephen’s excellent work on Projections, and take it from strength to strength.

Projections is now uniquely associated with SCSMI. So please do consider submitting your research, as well as strong work by your research students, to Projections. The more we as a community treat the journal as a key venue for publication of research in our fields, the more it will flourish.

Greetings to all – Murray
