For who may be interested or signed up to the pre-conference workshops, here’s the relevant info:

Hello everyone!

On behalf of the workshop instructors and organizers, we want to welcome you to the SCSMI 1st Pre-Conference Methodology Workshops 2022 which will be held online on May 3rd.

Attached to this e-mail is the programme for you to look through with a slight update in the content/schedules and a Google Drive folder with pre-recorded material that will be accessible for you before the workshops. If you would like to watch these materials before the start of the workshops over the weekend, please feel free to do so.

Two important points:

1. Please note the first workshop with Tim J Smith will begin promptly at 10:30 a.m. CET, but it will start with a live streaming of the pre-recorded session that you have access to in the Google Drive folder. This is of special relevance for attendees with big time zone differences, who may wish to pre-watch the theoretical part and directly attend the hands-on session (which will start at 11:45 CET).

2. Please note that the last hands-on part of the VCA Workshop with Sergio Benini has some easy prerequisites to download the material to work with during the hands-on. Please make sure you download this material beforehand (because it may take a bit of time) or save it on your Google Drive following the instructions on the Google Drive folder > Workshop 3 – VCA / Video Content Analysis – Materials> Prerequisites_for_HandsOn_Benini_SCSMI.pdf.

All the workshops will be hosted in the following Microsoft TEAMS link:

The room will remain open the entire day so you can join at any time you prefer.

If you have any doubts/questions that aren’t answered by this email, please do not hesitate to contact the organizing committee at this email or Cynthia Cabañas at ccaban01@mail.bbk.ac.uk.

We look forward to meeting you!
