SCSMI BOOK LAUNCH – CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
2019 SCSMI Conference – Wednesday June 12
If you are a member of the Society for Cognitive Studies of the Moving Image, and have published a monograph between June 1, 2018 and June 1, 2019, please consider promoting your work at the inaugural SCSMI Author’s Book Launch. The event will take place at the 2019 conference on Wednesday, June 12 – just before the poster session.
Promotional presentations must be no longer than one minute (i.e., 150 words) in length and will simply outline the book’s salient features and interest for the membership at large. Interested presenters will have the opportunity to promote their publication before the poster session begins. You may also wish to make available additional promotional material from your publisher as needed.
Alternatively, if you are a Society member, but are not able to attend this year’s conference, it is permissible to request that the organizer of the book launch promote your monograph in your stead.
Interested authors must submit the following material by May 15, 2019:
- Title and publication information
- 150-word abstract or promotional description
- Combined front and back cover image for accompanying slide show (jpg or png files only)
