New Book “Emotion in Animated Films” (Routledge) now available

Dear SCSMI members,
I am happy to announce that my newest book on “Emotion in Animated Films” is now available.
This anthology features articles by SCSMI colleagues Tim J Smith, Torben Grodal, Patrick Hogan, Kathrin Fahlenbrach, Brendan Rooney, Katalin Bálint, Maike Reinerth, Sermin Ildirar Kirbas et al.
The book looks at international film productions using animation techniques to display and/or to elicit emotions, with a special attention to the aesthetics, characters, stories and effects of these films, and to the challenges and benefits of using computer techniques for these purposes.

Kind regards,
Meike
