Responding to Art Shimamura’s suggestion that we note recent published work, I would add that it is especially useful for us to draw attention to our work when it appears in journals, however excellent, that members might not normally read.

This is a special issue on mood (in narrative, criticism, and philosophy). In the essay I show how mood in narrative film–the affective character of a film both presented and taken as narrational point-of-view–relates to the spectator’s affective experience.
